Watch TV:
Push the Language Button on the TV remote to switch between Nihongo and English
BS 258 DLife Disney Channel has kids shows; travel, lifestyle and dramas in English. Every 6 weeks or so they have a feature movie.
Some NHK programs, including the News and Sumo, also have an English translation. Times seem to vary so keep trying the language button
Stream your favourite shows:
PARENT WARNING: some sites may have adult content advertising
Google the name of your favourite show and include "english sub episodes"
For example: <Hana Nochi Hare english sub episode 1>
Select the Kissdrama.club result and play
Surf the Net
If you use Google Chrome you can add English to your Languages in Settings.
Once you've added English you can right click on the webpage and select "Translate into English"
Watch the News
NHK offer a news service in English. You can watch or read the English version of stories currently making the news in Japan and around the world.
