Bartholomew JoJo "Bart" Simpson (born April 1 or February 23 1985) A.K.A. El Barto and Bartman, is one of the family who star in the animated TV sitcom called "The Simpsons" which was created by Matt Groening.

The half hour shows were first aired on December 17, 1989 and since then 684 episodes of The Simpsons have been broadcast.

Bart's voice is provided by Nancy Cartwright who also performs the voices for other characters in the show including Ralph Wiggum, and Todd Flanders. It's estimated she earns $400,000 per episode.

Bart is the mischievous, rebellious, misunderstood, and "potentially dangerous" schoolboy who is easily distracted and loves shocking people, minutes after being born he set fire to Homer's tie.

His interests include Krusty the Clown, skateboarding, reading comic books, watching television, terrorizing his sister and pulling off various pranks.

Bart lives at 742 Evergreen Terrace in an imaginary town called Springfield. Over the years the exact location of the town has kept changing however it is in America.

He is the son of Homer and Marge and the older brother of Lisa and baby Maggie.

Milhouse is Bart Simpson's best friend in the fourth grade class at Springfield Elementary School. Milhouse is often led into trouble by Bart, who takes advantage of his friend's innocence and he is also a regular target for school bully Nelson Muntz. He has an unrequited crush on Bart's sister, Lisa. Milhouse is one of the few residents in Springfield with visible eyebrows.

He has some famous catchphrases such as "Eat My Shorts", "¡Ay, caramba!" and "Don't have a cow, man!"

Bart also sprays graffiti under the alias 'El Barto' and can speak several languages including French, Spanish and Japanese.....

Time Magazine named Bart one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century, and he was named "entertainer of the year" in 1990 by Entertainment Weekly
