Audio Storybook

Objective

Students work with a partner to plan and create an audio recording for a child's story book. Appropriate narration as well as sound effects and musical tracks must be included.

Steps

    1. Carefully select a storybook that can be read between 3 and 5 minutes.

  1. Create a folder called "Audio Storybook" and store all files related to this project in this folder.

    1. Use a planning document to indicate what sound effects and musical tracks are needed and when in the story they will be played. Include a script of the Introduction and Closing to the final recording.

    2. Find and save appropriate audio tracks.

    3. Use Audacity and available microphones to record your narration. Ensure you use your voice(s) appropriately.

  2. Add and sequence your music and sound effects. Adjust the volumes as appropriate.

  3. Save your recording as StorybookByNames.AUP.

  4. When you are completely done export the final sound file as StorybookByNames.MP3
