Employ current and emerging technologies effectively for communication, and to search for, identify, repackage, and deliver information resources
After compiling a semester-long project for a client wanting to know where within 100 miles of his home to go metal-detecting, my goal to learn how to retrieve, repackage and customize information was accomplished. During the process of researching his hobby, making a list of facts and destinations, and mapping them on GoogleMaps so my client could edit it, I applied information design theory to practice. I developed technical and intellectual skills associated with information customization, as well as knowledge of and skills at information retrieval using Dialog and a variety of other databases.
