Since a young age, a library has been a place to get lost in and then emerge from with treasures containing new things to learn and new ideas for questions to ask.
As the recent recipient of a master's degree in library and information science from Emporia State University, I now have the professional capacity to inspire in others the same curiosity that drives me.
What I learned while working on my MLIS is how greatly I need to connect people to quality information capable of improving their lives by fostering critical thinking.
This website portfolio details my achievements in the School of Library and Information Management through a distance program ESU runs in Portland, Oregon. I organized my portfolio by the 12 professional values and program outcomes which make up the core competencies the American Library Association requires of Emporia's SLIM students in order to graduate.
A resume, work samples, and contact points are included as additional resources.
Thank you for viewing my portfolio!
