Travel day back to Munich.

Intentionally took a long time getting ready to leave the Wangalm Hutte. Spent an hour visiting with a German couple (50's) and shared all kinds of stories. This was the only day I had to begin a hike in the rain. Thunder just hammered this upper valley last night --- very cool. Lights attempted to stay on, but was sketchy.

Stupid car GPS took the shortest distance route through Munich rather than the quickest driving route around the outskirts. A 2 hour drive turned into 3 hours with road construction and 1-hr delays. Not fun ... in a pouring rain.

Arrived at Hotel Hallbergerhof in Hallbergmoos (near airport).

The good news is: other than this morning, virtually no rainy hiking days in the entire trip (18 days of hiking).

Total: 2.5 miles, 50 minutes, descend 1600 ft from Hut back to car.
