Travel day (which means the body gets a rest).

Ranalt (our home in Austria for the past week) -> Innsbruck to drop off Mike at the train station. He returns to Oregon tomorrow.

Drive to airport and pick up Ian Frasier, my hiking partner until the end of the trip. Met Ian on last trip and we got along great. He's a professor at the University of Stirling in Scotland.

Drive 2 hours into Italy --- Selva/Wolkenstein. Staying at Garni Tramans (Familie Demetz) where we've stayed before. They are gracious hosts, and hiking trails right out the back door.

Three panoramic hikes planned.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The BEST kept secret is the picturesque restaurant at the l'muliné Hutte. It's a 5 minute walk from where we're staying.
