Arrive Munich @ 10am. Rental car (Kemwel).

9-hour time difference. Noon in Portland is 9pm over here.

• Got GPS car unit. It sure saved time (no getting lost in Munich going in circles).

Route:

• Drive south from Munich to Garmisch -> Mittenwald -> Leutasch -> Puitbach (check out trail head parking for a future hike) -> Seefeld (check out parking for tomorrows hike) -> Inzing (my lodging for a few days).

Inzing: small village. Staying at Gastof zum Stollhoffer. Gracious hosts. This gastof has been in the family for many, many generations. It's very clean, and they take pride in their work.

Dinner: Everything's closed on Mon-Tue for dinner. Drove down the valley and found a nice place in Pfaffenhofen called Schwarzer Adler.
