A day hiking the Hollentaller canyon, up to the OsterfelderHutte and Kreuzecke Hutte, and back down to the car.

Garmisch -> car to Landeplatz/Kreuzeckbahn (Parking). 10 minute drive.

9:15am Begin at Kreuzeckbahn (766m, or 2500+ feet) to Hammersbach, then up the river to the Hollentalanger Hutte (1381m) through the winding canyons with crashing river and waterfalls every step of the way. Suggested to wear rain jacket ...

• Ascend to the Rinderweg and Osterfelderkopf (pass) as 2150m (7000+ feet).

2:25pm arrive at Osterfelder Hutte. Lunch (suppe)

Descend to Hupfleitenjoch (pass) and down to Kreuzecke Hutte (1651m).

Descend to Hammersbach and back to Landeplatz (car).
