This is a really delightful apple from the University of Saskatchewan program that has not been named. We named it Nicky, as that is the apple we chose as a family to plant on the grave of our family dog. This is a medium sized apple 2.5 inches in diameter, crisp, sweet and juicy with a good flavor. A great apple to eat out of hand. This cultivar seems to be a slow grower, and unfortunately our repeated attempts have all failed. I think we may be in too cold a spot for this variety. There are 20 year old trees at warmer, higher elevations in Fairbanks, but not at our colder, lower elevation.
