Nicky (4-15-50)

A delightful apple from the University of Saskatchewan program that has not been named. We named it Nicky, as that is the apple we chose as a family to plant on the grave of our family dog. This is a medium sized apple 2.5 inches in diameter, crisp, sweet and juicy with a good flavor. A great apple to eat out of hand. This cultivar seems to be a slow grower, and showed some winter kill of branch tips.
