Apple Varieties

email: alaskafruits@gmail.com

All the apple varieties listed here (click the three horizontal bars icon at the top left of this page) grow in orchards around Fairbanks. They are known to survive the winters and fruit here regularly. Generally the apple-crabs need a shorter growing season than the larger apples and will have a greater chance of ripening at lower elevations. Each page contains the parentage, descriptions of varying detail and photographs where I have them.

Click on the three horizonal bars at the top left of this page, then click on the name of the variety to learn more about each type of apple.
