Clair 2

Bred by Clair Lammers of Fairbanks. Fruit is medium sized, elongate, and crisp. This does not seem to be a very productive variety. The tree itself noteworthy because it has pretty pale pink blossoms. When allowed to ripen fully, which in our orchard happens in late September, the apples are crisp. tart and sweet and really flavorful. We need to get a sommelier out here to write some descriptions for us, as we find the variations hard to describe.

These apples keep very well, as well as any Alaskan apples we have tested, with the possible exception of Lee 17.
