It has been quite a few months since I've posted. As mentioned before we moved to a new house and this set me back quite a bit. I have done -some- work on the car but for the most past little progress has been made.
For the installation and first start I used the air intake that came with the Ford Racing installation kit. While this worked great for the start, it places the air filter over the driver wheel and it honestly doesn't look very good. I am looking into other options including the Spectre kit that is referenced in FFRs Coyote installation manual. Here are they part numbers they listed:
PE-9741 – 4” to 3.50” Reducer adapter
SPE-9771 - 4” hose coupling
SPE-9799 - 4” 90 ° intake tube
SPE-9705 - Mass Air Sensor filter adapter
KNN-RU-5149 – 4” ID x 6.50” long Air Filter
My plan is to figure out what of these fit (e.g. what connects to the throttle body and is the MAF sensor the same size). Following are pictures of Ford's intake.
