I wasn't happy with the reservoirs provided with the kit. I also didn't like how they were to be located under the dash and therefore an access panel would need to be cut. In the end I may cut one anyway (for access to the windshield). Regardless I liked the looks of Scott's triple remote reservoir and the price was reasonable. However, one I bought it I realized that there wasn't much room for a triple reservoir because of the firewall support bars. I could move it over (towards the driver's edge) to avoid them but then it would interfere with the hood pin. The only solution (and thanks to the ffcars forum for good advice) I was able plan a layout that should work.
I identified the location and then taped the template to the firewall. This made it VERY easy.
Close up of the template. I carefully measured and leveled the template before drilling.
Backside after drilling two holes. Because I need to run through the frame an extension would need to be devised. I ordered a 1.5inch straight pipe, 1/8 NPT and a coupling from McMaster-Carr.
All mounted!! I also had to order the threads to mount the reservoir from McMaster-Carr (the reservoir came with no fittings) as well as the plugs for the bottom.
Here is the rear after installation. Worked like a charm!
