Discussion / Journal Questions:

1. Think of a book you have read recently. Describe a character that behaved responsibility and explain why that character is responsible.

2. Write an acrostic poem about responsibility.

3. What does it mean when someone tells you to take responsibility for your actions?

4. What responsibilities do you have at home, at school, in your community, and in the world?

5. Describe something you've done that was really irresponsible. How did you feel afterward? What did you learn from it?

6. Write a letter to someone in the news who did something that you think was irresponsible. Be specific about why you don't think it was right and why you think this action sets a bad example.

7. How does behaving responsibly affect our relationships with our friends, parents, teachers?

8. Do you think there is a connection between being responsible and being trusted?
