Discussion / Journal Questions:

1. Close your eyes and visualize a place where you find serenity. Describe this place in detail in your journal.

2. Think about your close friends, relatives, and other people in your life. Who would you describe as peaceful? Explain why.

3. Take one minute to check in with your 5 senses. What are 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you feel, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste?

4. Set a timer for 10 minutes. List everything that is causing you stress during this time. When the timer goes off, be done thinking about these things.

5. What are some ways you could simplify your life today?

6. Complete the sentence: “My favorite sights and sounds in nature are…” Explain.

7. Take some time to complete one of the attached mindful coloring pages.

8. Go to the Take5ive or Mindyeti website and engage in a breathing exercise. Discuss how you feel afterwards.
