Discussion / Journal Questions:

1. How should people act when someone else is reading aloud in class or answering a question?

2. Adults always tell you to ‘respect yourself’. What does this mean?

3. What does respect look, sound, and feel like? Describe what you would see, hear, and feel in our classroom when students are being respectful.

4. Do you have to like someone to show them respect? Why or why not?

5. Describe one person you respect in your life. What did they do to earn this respect?

6. How should you respond to someone that is disrespectful to you?

7. What role do you think differences play in our positive and negative attitudes toward other people?

8. In what ways can we respect our planet?
