Ancient Egypt Research Animotos

5th grade students created Animotos to share their learning about their Ancient Egypt research topic. This was the culmination of several lessons leading to this project beginning with being a smart searcher. Students learned how to do effective internet searches followed by learning how to critically evaluate websites. They then developed criteria for the kind of resources that would be valuable to them during their research and spent several class periods building their own Google Site of videos, PDFs, docs, PowerPoints, and websites that the grade would use for their Ancient Egypt research. Students used the site to learn about their chosen topic, wrote a research paper, then took information from their paper to create these videos.
