Tynker Coding Projects
Students in fifth grade use Tynker to learn and enhance their understanding of coding. By the time they reach fifth grade, many have a couple years of Tynker under their belts. This year, students had a choice while creating digital citizenship presentations to use Tynker or to create them in Google Slides. Several chose to build their story in Tynker. Additionally, all students had a project that needed to include at least three scenes and multiple actors in order for them to practice the skill of using hide/show, change backgrounds, and create multiple actors. This project is done in advance of a larger end-of-year project that will include coding as an option for presenting information.
