Tynker Projects

Third graders were introduced to Tynker this spring and took off with creating. They were to make a one scene, one actor story about their Bagels and Bios person. Since they already had the information to share, they could focus on learning to use Tynker to build a story. Many chose to upload an image of their person to use either as an actor or as a background. Some went beyond the one scene, one actor to include a second actor, sounds, and/or multiple scenes. This involved learning to use the "wait" block, "play sound" block, or the "next background" block to make their story flow properly. Those students then taught others who were inspired to take their project one step further.

The students' next used what they learned in Tynker to share their learning and teach others about the aquatic and marine animals they researched.
