The Sensory Lab is an engaging educational experience where the experiment includes aspects which involve touch, sight, hearing, or smell. This relation to senses is likely to be incidental, but is nevertheless a key factor that significantly raises students engagement and enjoyment of the activity.

Notes and limitations of applying this filter

Not all experiments can leverage sensory aspects specifically, but many include them implicitly. The loud bangs of samples breaking under load (for example) can be very exciting for students and the educational value shouldn't be underestimated.
