Parents may have more than one SchoolZone account if they have more than one child attending an Edmonton Public School. In order to view information for all of your children using only one SchoolZone ID and password you may want to merge your accounts.
To merge your accounts, follow these steps:
Select the My Profile menu option (the little head in the upper right corner).
Select the menu option to Merge My Account.
3. In the text box(es) that appear, type your other SchoolZone ID and password. This is the credentials for the other account that you will merge into your existing account (the one you are currently logged in as.
4. Click the 'Next' button.
5. A message will confirm that the account information you entered on the previous screen will be deleted. Your children with SchoolZone accounts will appear below, indicating that their information will be accessible now from the one account only.
6. Click 'Finish'
7. A confirmation message will then appear confirming the account merge. Click 'OK'.
Potential Errors when merging accounts:
"Sorry, these accounts can't be merged due to a discrepancy in the information."
You will NOT be able to merge your accounts unless the first initial of First Name and Last Name on the accounts match. If this is not the case you will have to contact the school where the information is incorrect and your account at that school will have to be re-created. You will then need these new credentials before trying to merge your accounts again. For example I would be able to merge j-doe3 with j-doe. However, I would not be able to merge j-doe-smith with j-doe .
"Error: Invalid account."
The account does not exist in our system, perhaps the wrong credentials have been entered into the SchoolZone Account field.
"Error: Invalid password."
The SchoolZone Password entered does not match what we currently have on file. Make sure the password has been entered properly. If the problem persists you will have to notify the school and have your password reset. Wait to receive your credentials and then try merging your account again.
"<Name> is presently signed-on. Please logoff this account before merging."
This error usually occurs when parents have already signed-on to SchoolZone earlier in the day with these credentials, and then closed their browser without logging off. When they do this, database variables from their earlier session are still present and cause SchoolZone to mistakenly think the parent is still signed-on. These database variables are automatically removed every morning at 4:30 am so if the parent tries again the next day, all should be fine.
