The Student Information Correction Form (SICF) is divided into 4 steps:
Parents may update student information in SchoolZone. Some changes will require documentation to be submitted to the school for admin approval (see below). Changes made on this form will not be shown for up to 24 hours, once approved.
Once changes are made, either information will be updated, or, if changes require admin approval, documents will need to be brought into the school for verification.
Any changes made to the following student information will require you to bring in documentation to the school administrator to confirm the changes.
Any changes made to any of those items will hold all the changes made, until verified by the school administrator. Changes made to student information other than those listed, do not need school administrator approval and will appear within 24 hours.
After completing the form, parents will be automatically be directed to the FOIP consent form, to enter or review their FOIP status.
Changes made to items requiring admin approval, as listed above, results in the above message being displayed to parents. A hold on the account, so no further changes can be made until documentation verifying the changes is brought into the school office.
Parents may also be locked out from changing information by the school. In that case a "Student information correction process is unavailable. Please contact School for assistance." will display.
In either case, the first thing you should do is contact your child's school if you would like to make changes to your child's information and cannot.
Some changes to a students information cannot be made through the online form, such as removing or adding parents. If you feel something is missing from the student correction form, you are encouraged to talk to your child's school office to discuss options.
