The atmosphere at Medway Park was electric this week as schools from across the region gathered for the annual Year 7/8 Dodgeball Tournament. The event was a resounding success, characterized by high energy and impressive displays of tactical skill. While power throwing was on full display, the most successful teams were those that mastered the art of the strategic catch and maintained disciplined court positioning. Four girls and four boys were entered from SGLA coming third overall after an exceptionally close group stage, just a point off first place.
From the first whistle, it was clear that the students weren't just there to participate, they were there to compete. The level of focus behind the starting blocks was palpable, with swimmers visualizing their strokes and perfecting their streamline starts. Kayden ended up with the bronze medal, Nathan just missed out on a medal coming 4th and both Joshua and Joshua came 6th/13.
