Our Travel Itinerary
Course Description/Itinerary:
DW Mongolia returns to Ulaanbaatar for the 8th consecutive year to work with the Verbist Care Center and Father Mathieu, helping in the care center they operate. Students also helps with the Rainbow Center -- a drop off, day-care center for adolescents with mental and physical handicaps. Each day consists of working at either center, playing with the children and helping prepare and clean up after meals. There is a day to explore and learn about the city as well as a day to travel to the countryside with all the children. We'll see the landscape, some wildlife, and visit a family living in a typical "Yurt" (Gur). We are one of two international schools to be invited to the center each year and our visit provides a substantial infusion to their annual operating budget, and we always return with far more than we leave behind.
