As a result of participating in this Discovery Week course students will:

• Experience high level basketball skills training with a professional coach from Global Squad.
• Gain confidence in their ability to meet physical and mental challenges with the help of their coach and peers.
• Gain a better understanding of the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
• Learn a range of drills that can be performed individually or in groups to improve.

Course Description/Itinerary:

Hoops for Life is a skill development course in which students get the rare opportunity to train with a professional coach in an intensive and fun setting for a week. During the course, students will learn a range of new drills and activities that can be done independently in order to improve as basketball players. Players will also get plenty of time to scrimmage and play in order to apply their newly learned skills into a game setting.

Monday - Friday

• 8:30 am - 9:00 am: Free Time/Warm Up
• 9:00 am - 12:00 am: Skill Sessions and Classroom Sessions
• 12:00 am - 1:00 pm: LUNCH
• 1:00pm - 3:00 pm: Scrimmage/Games

*Potentially: Group attendance at a KBL Game in the evening during the week (most likely at Ilsan).

Requirements/Considerations:

• Be prepared for 5-6 hours of physical activity each day including plyometric and conditioning training.
• Must enjoy the game of basketball and being physically active!
• Must be coachable and engaged.
