The following programs may be used in some of your classes. Click any of the titles below for more information.

Bluebook (for SAT, PSAT and AP Exams)

Bluebook is a testing application from College Board. Students use Bluebook to take the digital SAT, PSAT, and digital AP Exams as well as other College Board exams.

The Bluebook app is already installed on SDUHSD managed Chromebooks and is accessed from the Chromebook login screen.  Once logged out of the Chromebook, click the Apps icon in the bottom left corner and select Bluebook.

Note: If you do not see the Bluebook app, you may need to log in to the Chromebook, update, and restart your device.

BrainPOP (Middle School Only)

BrainPOP has engaging learning games, animated movies, and activities designed to encourage kids on their unique learning paths.

Click Log In to sign into BrainPOP. Then click the button to sign in with Google and use your school account.

Common Lit

COMMON LIT

CommonLit is a program that focuses on reading, writing, and communication

Students will log into CommonLit using their District account and password. Click where it says 'Sign in with Google' and use your school account.

Once you have logged onto CommonLit you will be able to see your assignment, save your progress as you go, and submit your work when you have finished it. This video guide will show you everything you need to know.

DIGITAL THEATRE+

Digital Theatre+ is an educational platform providing institutions around the world with access to theatre productions and educational resources to support the teaching of ELA and Theatre.

To access Digital Theatre+, click the Google "waffle" next to your icon in the upper right corner in Gmail, Drive, or Google Classroom.  Scroll down until you see the DT+ logo.  Click the button to be taken to Digital Theatre+.

Edgenuity

EDGENUITY

Edgenuity is a video-based program with interactive elements. It enables students to monitor their progress as they go.

Watch this video for a full explanation of how Edgenuity works and how you will use it in your classes.

HELPFUL HINT: Edgenuity works best if you use Google Chrome as your browser. 

Edpuzzle

EDPUZZLE

Sign into Edpuzzle by clicking 'Sign in with Google' and use your school account.

This will sync Edpuzzle with your District Google account, including your Google Classroom.  Most likely, your teacher will connect Edpuzzle to Google Classroom so you should not need a class code. 

Please do not try to sign in with a personal email address. Edpuzzle will only work in connection with your District account.

EQUAT.IO (Make math digital)

Equatio makes math digital, helping teachers and students at all levels create math expressions quickly and easily.  Equatio uses the Desmos Calculator so it is intuitive to create equations and formulas and enter them into a Google Doc or Slides quickly.

FORMATIVE

Formative is an online assessment tool. 

To log into Formative, click the Login button.  Then click the Google icon and select your school account

IMPORTANT: If your teacher is using the locked browser, you will need to completely sign out of your Chromebook.  Click the Apps button in the bottom left corner and choose the Formative LockDown browser.

FRECKLE

Freckle is a way to practice math and English skills.  You can work on Freckle on your own or you may use in some of your classes this year. Instructions for logging in to Freckle are provided below:

IXL for Math Practice

IXL is an online skill practice tool used to support math classes in SDUHSD

ILLUMINATE

Illuminate is a form of online testing software you may use in some of your classes this year. Instructions for logging on to Illuminate are provided below:

JSTOR

JSTOR is a digital library that provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines.

KAMI

Kami is an online document annotation and markup tool. You can highlight, underline, and strikethrough text in PDF and other document formats. You can also add text boxes, shapes, and images. Kami works with Google Drive and Google Classroom.

NoRedInk (Middle School Only)

NoRedInk is a program to help improve writing skills by walking you through the writing process.

To access NoRedInk, click the Log In button and choose "Log in with Google".  Be sure to choose your school account.

PEAR DECK

Pear Deck is a fun assessment tool that emphasizes interactivity.

You can access Pear Deck by going to this website and typing in the code provided to you by your teacher.  Then select your school account to get started.

ProQuest

ProQuest is an online research tool with access to magazines, books, scientific research, newspaper articles, photos, videos and more.

SCREENCASTIFY

If you don't already have the Screencastify extension installed, go to the Screencastify website and install it.

You should now see the Screencastify logo in the top right-hand corner of your browser. Sign in using your school Google account to make sure you have the full version with extra features!
