View your work in Google Classroom

HOW TO SEE YOUR WORK FOR A CLASS

Go to the 'Classwork' tab and click on 'View Your Work'

This will give you a complete list of all your assignments, including the date they are due. Missing assignments are clearly marked in red.

Click 'View Assignment' for details about the work you are expected to complete. If you have any questions, you can post them here. The rest of your class will be able to see your question and answer it for you.

HOW TO TURN IN AN ASSIGNMENT

Click on the assignment you wish to complete and select 'View Assignment'

If your teacher has provided you with a template, you will see a document with your name under "Your Work."  Click on this. You will not need to attach anything further.  Simply edit this document and click "Turn In" when you are done.

If your teacher has not provided you with a template, you should now click 'Add or Create'.

If you have completed the assignment already, you will be able to upload it straight from your Google Drive or your home computer. If you wish to start the assignment, you can select a brand new Google Doc and begin your work.

Once you have attached it and see the proper document under the "Your work", click the 'Turn In' button. This will submit your assignment.

Unsubmit an assignment

HOW TO UNSUBMIT AN ASSIGNMENT

Let's say you've submitted your assignment, but you decide it could be improved further. You may wish to rewrite part of it. You may have spotted a mistake you would like to correct.

As long as the due date/deadline hasn't expired, you can unsubmit your assignment and make changes to it.

Simply bring up your assignment and select 'Unsubmit'.

Just remember that you will have to resubmit your assignment again afterwards. Once you 'unsubmit' something, it won't show as 'completed' until you go through the process of submitting it again.

Viewing and adding private comments in Google Classroom assignments

READING PRIVATE COMMENTS

Private comments are a personal correspondance between teacher and student. Nobody else in your Google Classroom will be able to read these messages.

For every piece of work assigned to you, there should be a private comments message box in the bottom-right of the screen. Even if you don't post anything here, make sure to regularly check your private comments. This is how your teacher will provide personal, individualized assessment.

If your assignment requires you to post something in the private comments, remember to click 'Mark as Done' when you have finished.
