School counselors are advocates for students and provide support around academic, college/career planning, and social/emotional needs. Counselors are here to listen and help students discover solutions. When discussing matters personal in nature, counselors provide a confidential space for students to engage in meaningful discussion within a relationship of trust and confidence. Students can expect information shared with a counselor to be kept confidential except in the situations outlined on the linked Pupil/Counselor Confidentiality chart.
PALs are a group of student leaders that are passionate about CCA and have been trained in active listening and communication skills. Their program is devoted to CCA students and value confidentiality above all else. Students can arrange to meet on campus in a safe space to hang out and and also find a peer listener if they want to talk about academic pressures, relationship issues, social dilemmas, anxiety, stress, experience with trauma, or anything else. Please see the PALs website for more information.
Please see our page on Care Solace, a platform that confidentially connects families with local resources that match their needs.
