Students interested in a scholarship or program requiring a school nomination should contact their counselor to indicate their interest at least four weeks prior to the earliest program deadline (not including school breaks). Students may be asked to submit materials or information detailing their interest and fit in the program. CCA may not be able to nominate students who express interest less than four weeks in advance. CCA will not nominate students for programs or scholarships where student self-nomination is possible.
Community College is a great option for many students. Visiting a community college can help students understand resources and options to determine if it is a fit for them. Each year we have a Mira Costa Ambassador visit CCA weekly to meet with students. As a current student themselves, they're a great resource on the student perspective of applying to and attending Mira Costa. Please contact your counselor if interested in speaking to our Mira Costa Ambassador and check our Mira Costa's website for more information.
