A reminder that many colleges require families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) for financial aid consideration. We want to make sure that you have received information about how to complete and submit the FAFSA. Please visit the FAFSA website directly to view resources, including Filling Out the FAFSA® Form at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
This site includes:
The types of documentation and personal information that each student financial aid application requires, including, but not necessarily limited to, documents relating to income taxes, finances and income, college choices, academic status, and personal identification such as social security or taxpayer identification numbers.
An explanation of definitions used for each application. These definitions may include, but are not necessarily limited to, definitions of “legal guardianship,” “household size,” “parent,” “dependent,” and “taxable college grants and scholarships.”
Eligibility requirements for student financial aid that may be applied for using the FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application.

Students interested in a scholarship or program requiring a school nomination should contact their counselor to indicate their interest at least four weeks prior to the earliest program deadline (not including school breaks). Students may be asked to submit materials or information detailing their interest and fit in the program. CCA may not be able to nominate students who express interest less than four weeks in advance. CCA will not nominate students for programs or scholarships where student self-nomination is possible.
