We are excited to begin planning for the 2026-2027 year with students!
Please check this page for presentation information, demos on how to input courses and submit contracts in Aeries, course selection guidelines and guidance, and information on how to access counselors to get questions answered. We look forward to a great upcoming year!
Presented to students by grade-level on Wednesday, February 11th - Thursday, Feb 12th based on their teacher's last name.
The slides for the video on the left can also be viewed HERE.
The adjacent screencast demonstrates how to input courses into Aeries. Please note that this is a district recording so it may show courses we do not offer at CCA. In addition, you will also need to need to ensure you select four fall (course numbers that do not end in S) and four spring (course numbers that do end in S) for CCA. In order to schedule your classes, counselors will consider whether a course needs to be moved from the term in which it is requested. so alternate courses should not be the opposite term offering of a primary courses.
To view this video with subtitles in another language, please follow these instructions.
Course selection contracts will be submitted via electronic upload to Aeries, similar to enrollment documents. The adjacent document will walk you through submission steps if you have any questions.
*Please note that you are unable to delete the course contract once it's uploaded. If you need to make any changes, please upload a new course contract and counselors will consider the most recent upload as your final version. Please label the second version in a way to indicate it is the final in the title if possible.

Please note that these are pdf copies of the course contract you will sign and submit electronically via Aeries upload. Contracts are due 3/9/26.
Read the Course Selection Contract carefully! You are selecting a schedule for the entire 2026-2027 school year.
Research classes before selecting them.
Make sure to include your grade-level requirements based on both high school graduation and college eligibility.
Review the Course Profiles and Course Progressions for prerequisites and department recommendations for each course.
Read the course description and pay close attention to the estimated homework and level of difficulty for each course
You are selecting a schedule for the entire year. Write courses for Fall and Spring terms on the front of your contract, including at least two alternates for each elective.
Between February 11 - March 9, you and your parent/guardian must log in to the Aeries Parent Portal to select your courses online. Please refer to the course selection presentation for instructions on using the online portal. Your online selections should match your pdf course contract. If there is a discrepancy, counselors will defer to the signed course contract.
After you submit your course selections in Aeries online, you must upload a pdf of your contract before the March 9 deadline.
To schedule an optional meeting with your counselor, please click on their name below. Appointments are open to current 9th-11th graders only. Please make sure your name (student's) is written in the appointment slot title. If a parent is choosing to attend, indicate so in the notes, and indicate whether in-person or virtual. For in person meetings, parents should check-in at the administration office. Please note counselors will be calling in all current 9th grade students for brief meetings so current freshmen do not need to set up an appointment.
Please refer to the above course selection presentation if you have any questions regarding the sign-up process. Students are limited to signing up for one appointment slot at a time and need to use their school gmail address to schedule. Please do not sign up until after you have attended the presentation. Families in need of translation services should contact their student's counselor directly prior to booking.

Students follow language coursework consecutively (Spanish 3 after Spanish 2, etc.). For students who are native speakers of a language or have language experience outside of CCA, a language placement test is offered. CCA will be offering one test administration at the start of summer and one at the start of fall. Tentatively, these dates are June 3rd and August 4th, but may be changed. If you are in need of a language placement exam, please sign up via the 2026-27 World Language Placement - Interest Survey. Further communication will go out to everyone who signs up via the form.
