COURSE SELECTIONS MUST BE MADE IN AERIES BY MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2025
Read the Course Selection Contract carefully! You are selecting a schedule for the entire 2025-2026 school year.
Research classes before selecting them.
Make sure to include your grade-level requirements for both high school graduation and college eligibility in your schedule.
Review the Course Profiles and Course Progressions for prerequisites and department recommendations for each course. Read the course description and pay close attention to the estimated homework and level of difficulty for each course.
Talk to your current teachers or counselors if you have questions about which courses are appropriate for you.
You are requesting a schedule for the entire year. Write courses for Fall and Spring terms on the front of your contract, including at least two alternates for each elective.
The adjacent screencast demonstrates how to input courses into Aeries. Please note that this is a district recording so it may show courses we do not offer at CCA. In addition, you will also need to need to ensure you select four fall (course numbers that do not end in S) and four spring (course numbers that do end in S) for CCA. In order to schedule your classes, counselors will consider whether a course needs to be moved from the term in which it is requested. so alternate courses should not be the opposite term offering of a primary courses.
Course selection contracts will be submitted via electronic upload to Aeries, similar to enrollment documents. The adjacent document will walk you through submission steps if you have any questions.
*Please note that you are unable to delete the course contract once it's uploaded. If you need to make any changes, please upload a new course contract and counselors will consider the most recent upload as your final version. Please label the second version in a way to indicate it is the final in the title if possible.

Please note that off-campus coursework is neither required nor recommended for most students. Students at CCA can meet and exceed graduation and college requirements by completing on-campus courses during the academic year. If you desire to take an off-campus course, the Off Campus Permission Form can be turned in to ccenrollment@sduhsd.net (please indicate Off Campus Course in the subject line) or dropped off at the front office either prior to the 3/17/25 course selection deadline or during the window of 5/19-5/23 only. If your form is not approved, counselors will contact you within one week of the form being turned in. Students are encouraged to talk to their current middle school counselor (or high school counselor if transferring from another district high school) about whether off-campus coursework is the best option for them. Current 8th graders cannot begin any high school coursework prior to their final day of eighth grade or it will not be able to be posted to the student's high school transcript.
In order to attend CCA, all enrollment documents including your course selection contracts must be received by Friday, March 17, 2025 at 4pm. If for any reason, you do not complete enrollment you will forfeit your spot at CCA and you will be enrolled at your boundary high school. Enrolled students must also attend CCA at the start of the school year or will forfeit their spot at the academy. If you do not plan to attend CCA, please notify the Registrar, Ms. Caroline Moroney at ccenrollment@sduhsd.net.
