Poetry Unit: Sneaky Poetry
Write a sneaky poem today about something in 'nature'
I have included an example of a poem I wrote below:
Huge blanket
Black and blue
Always up high
Sometimes covered up
I'm the __________ (did you guess it?)
Math Activity - 20 minutes
Geometry Unit: 3D Shapes
Draw and design a playground! Label OR color each shape with a matching color
Use a piece of paper and design your own playground! Looking at a playground in real life, there are so many shapes that can be found in them!!
Think about the items you see on a playground (slide, monkey bars, swings, ladders, bridges, tires, etc)
Draw your picture with a pencil
Now go over your picture with felts to color the shapes OR label the shapes with your pencil

Briefly talk about the weather today and what it is like outside
Count the days of school: today is day 164
Count: 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164

Sight Word Test: Quiz your child on knowing their sight words!
I have included a list of all the grade 1 sight words that we learned this year (they were on their 'ring' in their book bag)
Please ask your child to read them to you to see which ones they know
These are all 'sight words' so they should just be able to read them without having to sound them out at all
Physical Education Activity - 30 minutes
Ensure you are getting 30 minutes of physical activity per day :)
