Focus: Stretch Your Sentence!

We will be writing a sentence together and stretching it out to make it more detailed and interesting.

Then use the two prompts below to write your own 'stretched out' sentences!

Math Activity - 20 minutes
Practice skip counting orally or on paper.
Count by 2's, 5's and 10's
Try starting at the number 20 and then count by 2's, 5's or 10's
Complete the worksheet provided to the left
Try starting at other numbers to make it harder (Example: start at 42 and count by 2's, start at 35 and count by 5's, start at 30 and count by 10's)
Daily Calendar - 5 minutes
Review today's date: Monday, April 20th
Briefly talk about the weather today and what it is like outside
Count the days of school: today is day 133

Idea: Make an obstacle course in your yard! Put out various things to jump over, run through, climb on etc. to make it fun! (Example: jump over sticks, crawl under a swingset, kick a ball through two rocks, do a bearwalk, etc.)
