Math Activity - 20 minutes

Fast Facts Friday

Each Friday we will be practicing our basic addition and subtraction facts!! Yay!!!

  • I have included a copy of 30 'Fast Facts' for you to complete. You can print the page OR write the answers separately OR say the answers out loud.

  • Challenge: time yourself on how long it takes you to complete. Then try it again another day and see if you can beat your time!

Daily Calendar - 5 minutes

  • Review today's date: Friday, May 15th

  • Briefly talk about the weather today and what it is like outside

  • Count the days of school: today is day 152

    • Count: 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 151, 152

  • Today's secret number clues:

    • I am an even number

    • I have 2 digits

    • I am ten less than 84

    • What am I?

Spelling Activity - 15 minutes

Week 29 word test:

  • I sound each word out for the students and repeat it several times while they are writing them down

  • Have your child write their words down on paper or a whiteboard if you have one

  • Week 29 Words - 'ee' words

  1. feet 2. deep 3. steel 4. cheer 5. agree 6. keep

7. meet 8. street 9. asleep 10. greet 11. seem 12. teeth

Bonus Word: referee (It's a hard one :) I always tell them how many letters it is and if there is a letter blend such as 'er' in this one)

For FUN: Guided Drawing

  • Watch the videos to the left on doing two guided drawings. Color your pictures after!

Physical Education Activity - 30 minutes

Ensure you are getting 30 minutes of physical activity per day :)

Idea: If you have a sand box, build the biggest sand castle you can!
