Windows 11 was released on October 5th, 2021 with heavy marketing from Microsoft, but is it worth it to upgrade or is it better to wait?
First Impressions and Menu
Once you start with a fresh install of Windows 11, one glaring thing is almost immediately noticeable. The task bar is in the center, which may throw some people off. The menu is different showing the apps you use the most with updated icons. Though, most of the time it should feel similar to Windows 10. If you upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, all your settings will carry over.
User Interface, Quirks and Features
A new operating system means new quirks and features, but Windows 11 is surprisingly lacking in new features. Very few things actually change but some include widgets, new files explorer, and a new quick settings. Though things may sound different, Microsoft has actually spent more time on aesthetics and refining, rather than adding a ton of new features. The new file explorer is more updated and kind on the eyes featuring rounded corners. The quick settings feature allows you to change certain settings quickly, such as wifi, airplane mode, bluetooth, and battery saver (only for laptops).
Potential Concerns
Of course with a new operating system comes some losses, though they aren't that major and will most likely not hinder your experiences. Live tiles are removed, being replaced with widgets, and the timeline which is being replaced with “recommended" underneath the menu. Upgrading has been known to be a hassle for some, especially for those with significantly older hardware. The minimum requirements are not demanding, an issue though is the Trusted Platform Module, TPM 2.0. But here’s why you should and shouldn’t worry about TPM 2.0. Most of these requirements are standard on any PC, except for TPM 2.0. If you purchase a PC from a well-known manufacturer like Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, or Microsoft, you will have no problems updating. However, if you buy a PC yourself, or have one custom built, you will have some problems. TPM is not set for default in a custom PC, and turning it on is a hassle. Another potential issue is that Windows 11 may demand more recent hardware, but not all the time.
Final Thoughts
Windows 11 feels more like an update for Windows 10 with more polishing and aesthetic reworks rather than a new operating system. The new features are a useful addition, but they can be inconsistent for users since they don’t always run or function properly.

Beats headphones are high-priced, but worth buying if you want a great quality wireless pair that brings the best. These headphones, created by Dr. Dre, come in many different sizes and colors. The pros of Beats headphones are that they give you a deep bass response and sound. Beats headphones do not use amplification that adds frequencies which might color the sound, or compromise bass response. The cons are that they cost more than other headphones currently found in stores. Another downside is, if you move too far from the device you are connected to, the sound can become glitchy. Overall, these headphones pack a good bass which is great for listening to hip-hop. They can be bought at local Best Buy stores, Target stores, and Apple stores. Beats are expensive, costing anywhere from close to one hundred dollars to a few hundred. However, with all things considered, the quality definitely lives up to the price you pay.

Pictured above is the Razer Kraken X base variant (the least expensive headphones) manufactured by Razer Inc.
Razer hasn’t been known for budget gaming gear, but the Kraken X may be the product that could place them into budget gaming. With a price of only thirty dollars, it is a very good deal especially if you want to get into gaming. In the package you’ll find: your headphones, a manual, stickers (very important), and a key for surround sound. The headphones are very comfortable, great for long gaming sessions. The surround sound quality is exceptional, especially for the price. The microphone is not the best, but is manageable if you're gaming. Now, a budget price does come with some problems. First, there is a lack of customization. Second, there is no lighting. Additionally, the Razer software the company wants you download offers no support for these headphones. The headphone cable is something to be desired as well, but it will work as long as you don’t bump into it a lot.
With a budget price, good sound quality, comfort, and a decent microphone, these headphones can't be beat with anything else on the market.
