Stray Kids in their music video “Thunderous.”
Stray Kids
Stray Kids, also known as SKZ, is a K-pop boy group run under the company JYP Entertainment. They consist of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin being the Hyung Line or the oldest of the group. Felix, Han, Seungmin, and I.N. being the Maknae Line, also the group's youngest members.
Their Music
When SKZ was formed through a reality show in 2017, many did not think the group had what it takes to be big. SKZ debuted with “District 9” a song that is still a fan favorite to this day. Since then, they have released several singles and three collaborative albums. This year alone, they released a new album NOEASY and a Christmas EP, CHRISTMAS EVEL, both of which fans went crazy over. Their song “Thunderous” surpassed 100 million views when the video was released. SKZ is known for their amazing music videos and intricate live performances. One even caught the eye of actor Ryan Ryendols, when they performed a Deadpool themed mashup of their famed song, “God’s Menu” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU'' by Blackpink. SKZ’s performance was held on the TV show: Kingdom Legendary War. The reality TV show features K-pop groups which compete against each other for a trophy.

The Members
Who really are Stray Kids? Let’s start with Bang Chan, he's the leader of the group and the oldest. Lee Know who is a dancer and vocalist. Changbin, a rapper and producer of the group. Hyunjin, the main dancer. Han, another member, is not only a vocalist and rapper, but also a producer. Felix, another member, is a rapper. And last but not least, Seungmin and I.N are our vocalists.
The Fandom and Stray Kids
Stray Kids are known for being kind to their fans, a fandom they like to call STAYs. SKZ’s motto is this: “Stray Kids everywhere all around the world. You make Stray Kids stay.” They wrote this motto to show fans that no matter where or who you are, if you feel astray, you will always be a STAY. I feel this is an important message the group wanted to send out because the group themselves were self-made and not many people had faith in them to succeed. So this is kind of the group's way of showing that no matter where or who you are, you will always be accepted in this group. One way the group lives by their motto is through Bang Chan's weekly videos. The live video sessions can be watched on VLive, a website and app where artists and fans can meet. His program is called “Chan’s Room” and is held every Saturday where he interacts with fans.
Step Out 2022
On December 31, 2021, Felix, a member of Stray Kids, reflected on all the achievements Straykids and STAYs have accomplished in the past year. Highlights include the award show MAMA, their new albums, and Seungmin who was featured in an official soundtrack. But that isn’t all we have from this video, we got new upcoming plans for 2022! Stray Kids has announced their second fan meeting, and a pop-up Skzoo store in Korea. Stray Kids also mentioned they would have two new albums, and a SKZ record and player album. Since the COVID pandemic had cancelled the group's tour in 2020, STAYs are very excited for the Stray Kids second world tour coming in 2022!
