National Honor Society is an organization that is intended to recognize South Callaway High School students that are outstanding in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Students with an 8.75 GPA on an 11 point scale are eligible to apply for admission at the end of the second semester of their sophomore year. Students that apply are rated by the high school faculty in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. The names of those that meet the criteria will be submitted to a Faculty Council. The Faculty Council will then accept or reject those that meet the criteria. Juniors and Seniors are also eligible to apply for admission.
This club will meet about 5 times per semester. An induction ceremony and dinner is hosted by NHS in April.
There are no dues.
