Dual Credit Program
The Central Methodist University dual credit program provides the opportunity for qualified high school students to enroll in classes taught at South Callaway and earn college credit. When students successfully complete a course, they receive both high school and college credit. The program allows students to get an early start in fulfilling college requirements. Recently, Truman State University was added to provide a dual credit option for math courses.
Credit earned in the program will be applicable at Central Methodist University and is generally transferable to other accredited colleges and universities. It is the student's responsibility to ascertain the transferability of any course taken through the program. Students can best accomplish this by directly contacting colleges and departments to which they are considering transferring credit.

Dual credit courses follow the same syllabi and use college level texts comparable to those used in courses taught on the CMU campus.
Upon graduation from high school students will need to request that a transcript be sent from Central Methodist University to the college of their choice. To obtain information on requesting a transcript from CMU click here.
Students and Parents are responsible for checking with the college/university of their choice to see how dual credit courses will transfer.
