Foundation of Rural Service Scholarship: FRS will award scholarships to graduating high school seniors based on the following requirements: Being a U.S. Citizen; being sponsored by a NTCA member; seniors whose parents are Kingdom Telephone Company or Kingdom Technology Solutions customers; accepted to a two- or four-year college, university, or technical school; Have at least a C GPA; and express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation. Should a senior from our service area be selected to receive one of the $2,000 scholarships, Kingdom Telephone will contribute an additional $500! Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (MAMIC)- The purpose is to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a student who has some type of relationship with a member company of the MAMIC. Said student must be a relative of a director, agent, employee, or policyholder of said member company. Students must be enrolled in a MO college/university, be a MO resident, student must be related to a director, agent, employee, or policyholder of a member company of MAMIC, and have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Please note that preference may be given to students who have demonstrated an interest in an insurance career through internships, part-time insurance employment or other related activities. Applications are available in the guidance office. All applications must be received by a MAMIC member company office by March 1, 2018. National Defense Transportation Association Scholarship: Any senior may apply for these scholarships. However, priority will be given to students majoring in business, transportation logistics, or physical distribution. Interested students are required to submit an official transcript, their ACT or SAT scores, 2 letters of recommendation, an application, and an essay that explains how your chosen field of study/future career may someday be supported by or contribute to and improve transportation and logistics. Project 21- Missouri Gaming Association: The Missouri Gaming Association's goal of this scholarship program is to not only inform our youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but to also educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling. Project 21 2018 proves students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. The 2018 awards will be: Two $1,500 first prizes, and Four $1,000 second prices. All MO High School Seniors are eligible. Stop by the guidance office for the application. Missouri Community Service Commission (MSCS)- Monsanto High School Scholarship is an initiative established by the MSCS to recognize outstanding high school students in Missouri who provide service to their communities and encourage volunteerism. Each year, the Monsanto Company sponsors eight student-volunteers to receive a college scholarship award of $1,000. If you are interested, you can access the application, requirements, and instructions at https://www.movolunteers.org/awards.htm. The deadline to submit nominations is 3:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018.
MFA Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to high school seniors in communities where MFA agencies are located and are willing to contribute to the MFA Foundation. The amount of the scholarship is $2,000 and is applied towards the student's freshman year of college and is not renewable. The scholarship committee considers the following: the applicant's interest in furthering his/her education by engaging in studies relating to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life; participation and leadership in school, church, and community activities; the applicant's reputation for good citizenship and good moral character; financial need, sources of income and willingness to work; and the applicant's satisfactory academic progress. Applications are available in the guidance office and will be mailed through the guidance office as long as applications are received by March 13th, 2018. If not, it will be the responsibility of the student and/or parent to get the application to the MFA Office in Fulton 99 E. St. Eunice Road Fulton, MO 65251. The application deadline is March 15, 2018.
Callaway-Montgomery Cattlemen's Association: Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in each county to students that meet the following guidelines. Students must be Missouri residents and preference may be shown, but not required, to those that are paid active members of the MO Junior Cattlemen's or the parent/legal guardian must be a current paid active member of the MO Cattlemen's Association and have designated the Callaway-Montgomery Cattlemen's Association as their local organization. Applicants must submit 2 letters of recommendation, current transcript, and have a 2.5 GPA or better. Preference may be shown to students who plan to/are attending Missouri colleges, universities, and technical schools. The applicant must demonstrate leadership ability through extracurricular and community activities, along with work experience. Applications are available in the guidance office. The deadline is March 15, 2018.
Women In Nuclear (WIN) Scholarship: The Callaway Energy Center's Women in Nuclear (WIN) Chapter is offering a $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors toward post-secondary education pursuits in power-related fields for the academic year 2018-2019. This would include students pursuing careers in electrical, gas or nuclear power generation including engineering programs in electrical, mechanical, civil, nuclear, computer science, or administrative assistant programs or programs in business or technical schools. The scholarship is open to men and women. Additional requirements are applicants must include a letter of reference from a high school teacher or administrator, and include an essay on "My Career in the Energy Field". The essay should be a maximum of 200 words that is typed or legibly printed. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline is March 16, 2018.
Missouri Credit Union: Accepting applications for their annual scholarship. High school seniors graduating in spring of 2018 are eligible. Applicants or their parents must be a member of MCU to qualify. The recipients will receive the scholarship funds for use toward the four-year college, university, or technical college of their choice. Application selection is based on: Financial need, scholastic achievement, and extracurricular activities. Applicants must print and complete MCU’s online application at www.missouricu.org. or stop by the guidance office for a copy. Columbia Honda Smart Choice Scholarship Program: The Columbia Honda Scholarship Program intends to provide 9 Missouri High School Seniors who have made smart academic and life choices with a $1,000 scholarship to make the smart choice to pursue post-high school education. Fulton Kiwanis Club: Students graduating from a Callaway County high school are eligible to apply for a Kiwanis Club Scholarships in the amount of $600. Students must plan to attend any post-secondary education or institution, include a current high school transcript, letter of recommendation from their high school counselor or principal, a letter of recommendation from one of their classroom teachers, and a complete business letter briefly telling about themselves, where they hope to further their education, what they plan to study, and something of their financial need. This letter's appearance, grammar, spelling and content will be evaluated. The applicant's current home address, email address, and telephone number should be included. AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship: The goal of this organization is to raise awareness among teenagers and the general public about Alzheimer’s disease. In a further effort to provide an outlet for teenagers to express their thoughts about Alzheimer’s, the AFA offers an annual $5,000 scholarship to the winner, a $2,500 scholarship to the first runner-up, a $1,500 scholarship to the second runner-up, and seven $500 scholarships for honorable mention. To qualify, students must be a U.S. citizen, enter a 4-year university within 12 months after the application deadline and be currently enrolled in a public high school. Court Street United Methodist Church: Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year. Applications for these scholarships includes the completion of the FAFSA. The following criteria are used to determine scholarship recipients: Callaway County resident, open to any area of study unless specified, active member/regular participant in the life of a congregation (preference given to CSUMC members), two letters of recommendation from members of applicant's "home church" including one from the congregation's pastor, community leadership and service, financial need, and satisfactory academic progress. Fulton Garden Club: Offers a $750 scholarship awarded to a graduating Callaway County High School Senior that will pursue higher education in a gardening-related field of study such as: Horticulture, Forestry, Agriculture, Conservation or other related subjects. Missouri Insurance Education Foundation Scholarship: Four $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to Missouri graduating high school seniors who will be full-time students in an accredited Missouri college or university and with an interest or intent of pursuing an insurance, risk management, actuarial science or related course of study. Applicants must be a Missouri resident and demonstrate scholarship, in the complete sense, consistent with capacity and circumstances. Information is available in the guidance office or click here. Missouri Courage Scholarship: Awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 to all graduating seniors. We acknowledge, affirm, and reward the courage of those graduating seniors who have demonstrated their willingness to work for chair in their community to advance the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) people and other groups who have historically faced discrimination. Small Business Success Student Scholarship Program: Surety Bonds is the sponsor of three $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to individuals who plan to further their education at the college or university of their choice. The Surety Bonds Small Business Success Student Scholarship Program is open to every state. Each student must submit a 500 to 1,000-word essay about “How small business ownership has shaped you (personal, parent, grandparent, or legal guardian) into the person you are today.” Applications must be submitted online. FCS Financial Scholarship: FCS Financial is award up to 35 scholarships to Missouri high school seniors in 2017. Each scholarship is $1,500. This program is for MO high school seniors whose parents or grandparents are customers of FCS Financial. Applicants must meet one of three criteria: attain a 2.5 or higher GPA, an ACT score of at least a 26, OR rank in the top 20% of their senior class. Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors Scholarship: Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to men and/or women pursuing a certificate or associates degree in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Repair and have at least a 2.5 minimum GPA. Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Soroity: Sigma Alpha is a profesional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarships, leadership, service, and fellowship among its members. One or more $300 scholarships will be available to students that are full-time, high school seniors, female, minimum GPA of 2.5, graduating in 2017, plan to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia in Fall 2017, and demonstrate a knowledge and passion for agriculture. Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship: The Missouri Bankers Foundation (MBF) was established to provide funding for college-level study for young people interested in pursuing banking and banking-related careers. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to 2017 high school graduates. Applicants must be high school seniors who have exhibited academic achievement and/or economic need. Students should be planning to enroll in a full-time courses of study leading to a major in a field related to banking. Applications must include an official transcript with ACT scores, two letters of recommendation, and a resume of extracurricular activities. Community Foundation of the Ozarks Scholarships: The CFO is proud to administer some 390 scholarships as a service to the greater community. Eligibility is most often determined by residency in a particular city or county in the Community Foundation of the Ozarks' geographical service area. The scholarships are available as of February 1, 2017 and will be awarded in Spring of 2017 for the 2017-2018 college academic year. For more information, please click here.
Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund: Students must be a US Citizen, have a GPA of a 3.0 or higher, attend a 4-year college or university in the Fall 2013 semester, have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services or other extracurricular activities, and combined adjusted income of parents cannot exceed $50,000. Women Legislators of Missouri Scholarship: This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors girls in Missouri. Eight $500 scholarships will be awarded from each Missouri U.S. Congressional District. Students who do not follow the instructions or completely fill out he application may be disqualified. A reception will be held for the eight scholarship winners and their guests on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Capital. U.S. Bank Scholarship Program: High school seniors planning to enroll next fall at an U.S. Bank Student Load eligible four-year college or university are eligible to apply. Forty $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Recipients will be selected through a random drawing process.
