Students and/or Parents are responsible for mailing scholarships unless noted in scholarship details.

Earl Collins Foundation/Kiwanis Scholarship:  $1,000 scholarship is available for high school seniors with a minimum ACT score of 23 OR at least in the 82nd percentile on the SAT, OR have a GPA of 3.25 or better OR rank in the top 25% of the applicant's graduating class.  Students will also need to submit two letters of recommendation from faculty, as well as present information regarding achievement, volunteerism, honors, educational objective, and financial need.  Stop by the guidance office for a copy.  Key Club membership is not required for scholarship, but can help.  Deadline is January 15, 2018.  

 

JCI Senate Scholarship: The United States JCI Senate Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the United States who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.  This application is available online and has several parts.  Please be sure to look over all directions carefully.  The deadline for entries is postmarked by January 5, 2018.  The application can be downloaded from:  http://www.usjcisenate.org/index.php/scholarship-program

Columbia Honda Smart Choice Scholarship Program: The Columbia Honda Scholarship Program intends to provide 9 Missouri High School Seniors who have made smart academic and life choices with a $1,000 scholarship to make the smart choice to pursue post-high school education.  See the following link for eligibility requirements http://www.komu.com/files/Smart_Choice_Scholarship.pdf  You must be nominated by your high school.  If interested, stop by the guidance office.  Application periods run from (Oct. 16-Nov. 15), (Nov. 16-Dec. 15), (Dec. 16-Jan. 15), Jan 16-Feb. 15), (Feb 16.-March 15), March 16-April 15), and (April 16-May 15).  

Robert J. Stuckey Essay Contest: This contest is open only to Missouri High School students (9th-12th grades) and only one entry will be accepted from each school.  The awards of $1,500, $750, and $250 will be for first place, second place, and instructors of winners, respectively. The essay should be between 1,200 and 1,500 words in length and should address one more more aspects of books and reading.  Common topics for essays include literary analyses, accounts of personal experiences and fictional short stories.  Essays which review a single book are not acceptable.  All entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2018.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.

Missouri Sheriffs' Association: The John Dennis Scholarship offers 16 - $1,000 scholarships each year to college-bound Missouri high school seniors who intend to pursue a criminal justice career and will be attending a Missouri college or university.  Applicants must be in good standing with school, have a good reference from guidance counselor, demonstrate financial needs, have a GPA of 2.0 or greater, be active in extracurricular activities, and include a paragraph detailing his/her goals 10 years after high school graduation.  To apply, visit http://www.mosheriffs.com  Application deadline is January 31, 2016.
