Here is my definition of Self-Direction:
Self-Direction is being open to learn and possibly unlearn new and old things. You have to use knowledge you know from various sources to help you with things that might not exactly relate. You have to decide on the relevancy of new information, and what can and can't help you. You have to be open to collaboration, trying new things, and working your way through challenges. You also have to use technology to help you along your learning journey. That's my definition of Self-Direction.
