Here are the pieces of clothing I altered/worked on
Here is the presentation we created at the end!
For this project, my goal was to create a cosplay of the character Taako from the podcast the Adventure Zone, by the McElroy brothers. A cosplay is like a costume, except based off a specific character, and usually a little more realistic or detailed than, say, a Halloween costume. I've been cosplaying for about 3 years now, and I really enjoy it! This was my second time alternating articles of clothing for a cosplay. I wanted to create a vest, a shirt, and a skirt, as well as a hat, because the character is a wizard.
I think that I could have done better with this project, in all honesty. I wanted to do more actually sewing, but realized it was going to look better if I did minor adjustments instead of trying to completely redo the pieces of clothing I was trying to work with. I think the end product looks nice, but I also feel like it could have been better. But, I'm still proud! I like how I drew on the hem of the skirt, and the jingle bells on the end of the hat. I think if I wore this to a convention and added some makeup and props, people would definitely know who I am! I also would add some boots, and maybe some leg warmers or something funky like that. I think if I were to give myself a proficiency for this, it would either be a 3 or a 2. My skills could improve, but I'm happy with the result! Overall, not a bad project, if I do say so myself. And I do!
