Melanie Wolf 

School Counselor: Class of 2027

Melanie Wolf is the School Counselor for the class of 2027. This is Melanie's fourteenth year at Portsmouth High School, before that she worked as a counselor at Nashua High School South where she also interned. Melanie worked in the nonprofit world as well helping teens reach their goals outside of the school setting. Melanie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and a Master’s Degree in Education Counseling from UNH. Melanie grew up in northern New Hampshire and loves to ski in the winter. She enjoys sports and spends a lot of time watching her kids, Lucas and Rachel, play basketball, softball, football and volleyball.   

Amy Donovan 

School Counselor: Class of 2026

Amy Donovan is the school counselor for the class of 2026 as well as the PHS School Counseling Department head. She is originally from Berlin, NH and has earned a masters degree in School Counseling from Plymouth State University. Through her career she has served as a Juvenile Court Diversion Director for 6 years, an elementary school counselor for three years and a high school counselor for 23 years. Amy has truly enjoyed working with students as a School Counselor at Portsmouth High school for the past 20 Years. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband Scott and their two children Aidan and Acadia and their dog Harbor. She has a passion for the beach, camping and the outdoors.  

Sarah Maloney 

School Counselor: Class of 2025

Sarah Maloney is the School Counselor for the class of 2025. This is Sarah's sixth year at Portsmouth High School and 17th year as a counselor. Prior to PHS she worked as a counselor in Rye, Hampton, UNH and in community mental health.  Sarah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from University of New Hampshire, a Master’s of Arts Degree in Counseling from UNH and a CAGS in Leadership from the University of New England.  Sarah has spent her whole life and grown up on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and loves to spend time with her large extended family. Sarah loves the outdoors and spends her free time skiing, hiking, walking and any adventure around Lake Winnipesaukee. Sarah and her partner Mike have three children Maggie, Libby and Landon. They love watching them play sports, create music and just watching them have fun. 

Laurie Relinski 

School Counselor: Class of 2024

Laurie Relinski is the proud school counselor for the Class of 2024, this year's senior class. Ms. Relinski attended the University of New Hampshire and earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. A few years later she earned a Master in Education/Counseling from the University of Maryland, Asian Division in Okinawa Japan. Ms. Relinski spent 10 years working as the student assistance counselor at Portsmouth Middle School before moving to PHS to serve as a school counselor. Ms. Relinski has spent over 30 years working with Portsmouth students and their families and still enjoys guiding students in identifying their passions, continuing their education  and working towards leading a fulfilling life after high school. Ms. Relinski lives in Dover with her wife and enjoys spending time with her adult children whenever possible. When her children are not around she enjoys walking with her dog and camping. 

Brittany Lind

College Counselor  

Originally from Weare, NH, Brittany earned her undergrad from Endicott in Sports Management, a Masters in School Counseling from Plymouth State, and her CAGS in Educational Leadership from the University of New England.  She has worked as a school counselor for seven years with the last five being at Portsmouth High. The transition from school counselor to college counselor has been the perfect fit. Brittany enjoys working with the juniors and seniors on future planning and helping them navigate the tedious college application process. She and her husband Chris, along with their daughter, Charlotte and 100lb lab/shepherd mix Ernie, enjoy exploring New England and spending time with their family and friends. 

Eilee Marousek

Outreach Counselor

Eilee Marousek is Portsmouth High School's outreach/student assistance counselor. Eilee's role includes, counseling, providing group therapy, screening and assessing students for risk factors, consulting with teachers/staff/parents regarding student restorative plans, providing outreach to families, connecting families to resources, ect. Eilee is the advisor for the Wellness Club and GSA at PHS. Although Eilee is originally from Portsmouth NH, and earned her masters in clinical mental health counseling from Boston University. Eilee is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and has worked with adolescents in a variety of clinical settings.

Outside of work, Eilee enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, entertaining, and hanging out with her golden-doodle, Copley.  

Jennifer Tybursky

Futures Counselor

My name is Jennie Tybursky, and I am the new Futures Coordinator at PHS. As a former graduate of PHS, I am thrilled to be back and part of the community. I am really looking forward to working with students, and I am always here to help and answer questions. I previously worked at SNHU for six years as an academic advisor for online students and I'm excited to continue helping students work toward college. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family (mostly chasing around my 9 month old daughter, Fiona) and reading. 

Nicole Bellabona

CTE/Career Counselor

Nicole strongly believes in the power of applied learning, career readiness, and imbedding 21st Century skill attainment into the K-12 curriculum to most effectively prepare students for career and college pathways.  Her experience spans over the past 20 years in a variety of roles that include teaching, academic advising, facilitating work-based (WBL) and extended learning opportunities (ELO), and connecting with the employment community with a focus on STEM workforce development.  Nicole received her M.Ed. from UNH and Graduate Certification in Training and Development/Human Resources from SNHU.  Most recently, she was part of the Career Development Bureau team at the NH Department of Education helping to support Career and Technical Education statewide.  

Kay Wooten

Registrar

Kay earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from UNH and was an avid equestrian most of her life. In her free time she enjoys reading, walking, and painting. Kay is also a Reiki Master teacher. She loves spending time with her children; her son Michael is working towards his Master’s in Fine Arts at Rutgers and daughter Rebecca is a teacher at Pinkerton Academy.

Katie Fanning

Administrative Assistant


Katie Fanning is the current admin assistant in the Guidance/Counseling department at Portsmouth High School and is excited to be part of this community! She received her BA in Music and Psychology at SUNY Potsdam. Katie is an active member of the Seacoast Wind Ensemble playing clarinet. Along with music endeavors she believes time outside is time well spent and is an avid hiker, cyclist, and skier
