New Hampshire Scholars
The New Hampshire Scholars Initiative is focused on increasing the number of high school students who take a rigorous secondary curriculum designed to strengthen the chances for success in college. The core course of study includes math, science, social studies, language arts, and international language, and is intended to help provide high school students with the academic foundation necessary to succeed in
college and beyond. Students are recognized during senior awards as well as having their high school transcripts indicate that they have successfully completed the Core Course of Study. Each New Hampshire Scholar will receive a gold pin to wear at graduation. A foil seal will be affixed to their final diploma and they will be honored at a NH Fisher Cats game in the spring. In addition, students on track to graduate as a NH Scholar may be better candidates for merit scholarships from NH colleges. To be designated as a NH Scholar, each student at PHS will complete, at a minimum, the core high school academic course of study.
