How do students and parents/guardians make an appointment? 

The best way for a student to make an appointment is to, stop by the counseling office and ask Ms. Fanning, our Counseling Office Administrative Assistant to schedule an appointment for you.  If you are a parent/guardian, please call 603-436-7100 x 2936 or email at kfanning@sau52.org.

Is counseling confidential?

Counseling is meant to be private.  We want students to be able to freely speak with us so that we can provide support.  However, when safety is an issue to self or others, we need to share information in order to get you support and keep you or others safe.

When can I add/drop classes?

Student initiated course changes will not be allowed after the second day of any quarter.

Do school counselors provide therapy?

No, counselors provide short term supportive counseling.  If you need more regular therapeutic sessions, we are happy to refer you to private therapists.  We also have private therapist who see students during the school day in our counselor office.  For more information, please contact your grade level counselor.  

When can I meet with the college counselor?

College planning meetings begin during the second half of your junior year and during your senior year.  Mrs. Lind sends out emails all along the way, informing you of when you can begin scheduling meetings, when standardized tests are happening, college visits, and application deadlines.

Who do I talk to about drug and alcohol concerns?

You are always welcome to talk to your grade level counselor about drugs and alcohol concerns.  Eilee Marousek is our Student Assistant Program Counselor and she works with students individually, in groups, and is consultant to teachers and parent/guardians.  Your grade level counselor can help you get an appointment to meet with her.

How do I access Infinite Campus as a parent?  As a student?

How do I apply for free and reduced lunch?

Hard copy forms can be found in guidance.  They can also be found online on the PSD website.

Students should speak with their school counselor to learn about the scholarships available to help pay for other educational needs (AP exams, SAT, college application fee waivers, driver's education, college course payment, etc.)
