Standardized Testing

Standardized testing is a part of the college application process, but has drastically changed over the past few years with more and more schools going test optional.  Students are encouraged to take the practice tests and prep for the SAT or ACT, but know that success on the test is relative to the schools you are applying to and not a huge factor for many colleges.  If you do well and fall within the college's accepted student average, you should submit your scores as another piece of positive data with your application, but know that many students will apply and be accepted to college without the use of standardized test scores.
