Richmond Tire

Spotlight Merchant: Richmond Tire, 1608 Market Avenue, San Pablo.

From their website---

"Richmond Tire was established in 1970 in San Pablo, CA by Willie and *Betty Gurule. In 1994, Jeffrey Rubin (now owner of Richmond Tire) was hired on as a tire mechanic. In the beginning however, Jeffrey was not the most upstanding employee. Through many trials and errors, Jeffrey had to learn the importance of hard work and dedication. With some harsh and encouraging words from his boss, Jeff decided to make some changes and shortly after he became one of the most astounding employees at Richmond Tire. So much so, that the Gurules' made him manager of the establishment. He not only continued to do an amazing job at changing and repairing tires but also when it came to running the company as well.

Fast forward to July 2001 when Jeff and his lovely wife Tracy, decided to purchased Richmond Tire from the Gurules. Soon after purchasing the shop together, Tracy decided to take on the role of Vice President and began helping Jeff run the company as well. Side by side the Rubins' grew Richmond Tire into the well-known black owned family business it is today.

Some years later Jeff and Tracy hired on their sons Kalani (future owner of Richmond Tire), Keoki and Oteon, who have contributed to Richmond Tire's growth tremendously, making it one of the most trusted businesses in the Bay Area.

Richmond Tire has now become an important part of the community in San Pablo. From Toy drives to backpack giveaways, this awesome tire shop is not only known for their amazing Tire services but for their generous contributions to the city and others around it."
