PTSA General Meeting 7:15 p.m.
1. Welcome and Opening Remarks
- Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m by Tracie Hewitt. People in attendance: Erich Muelder (Art Teacher), Rob Kerr, Tracie Hewitt, Jennifer Flohr, Chrystal Bernasconi, Julie West, Barbara Lezon, Shannon Fox, KaShawn Seibles
2. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Shannon Fox, Secretary
- Rob Kerr pointed out that the meeting minutes said “Agenda” at the top. Shannon Fox will fix that. Chrystal motions to approve the minutes with the edit. Julie seconds the approval.
3. Admin Report: VP Rob Kerr
- A new wrestling mat was installed. There is more space and it is safer for everyone. The wrestlers like that there are circles to help space them out. The room is very functional.
- Holly Thompson is the new Interventionist to help Corey Stowell with students who need help.
-Improve Your Tomorrow kicked off last week. There are 35 students in the program. They went to UC Davis on field trip and got to watch the game.
4. Staff Report- Erich Muelder (Mixed Media Art)
- The gallery walk Art Show will be held this Thursday, Dec. 7 (instead of Dec. 14. The date changed the week before Thanksgiving). All 300 students in Art should have a piece on display. Art will also be for sale, with proceeds going back to the VAPA department. They plan to have another Art Show in May. The event will be held during the day and carry over until 6pm, at which time the band will be having a concert and dessert auction in the PAC.
5. President's Report: Tracie Hewitt
- We are very close to being on the Morgan Stanley account and accessing it.
6. Vice President's Report: Jennifer Flohr
- She has been working with the facilities department to make the brick fundraiser happen. More details to come.
7. Treasurer's Report: Becka Stephensen (absent)
-Shannon Fox reported for Becka:
–New Debit Card issued for Tracie, Shannon, & Becka
(Bank of the West merged with BMO.)
–Raffle Registration for 2024 was received!
Note: We may not sell raffle tickets before January 1, 2024. We may hold up to 10 raffles during the 2024 calendar year.
–No significant changes in our financial status since last meeting.
We did receive a donation check from Optimist Club for All Nite Grad.
–If you would like to take a closer look at our finances, you are always welcome! Simply contact Becka Stephensen & she will add you as a Viewer to our Shared Google Docs.
8. Fundraising Report: Shannon Fox - We closed out our week long See’s candy fundraiser and made $334.40. A check is being mailed to Shannon, who will then give it to Becka to deposit.
9. Committee Reports:
Holly Fales (absent)
- The staff room is decorated like a gingerbread house. It looks fantastic!
Scholarship Report: Barb Lezon- She has emailed people on the committee and they will start to get info out in January, with the scholarship application running from February thru April.
–Also, a check from last year is 9 days past the 6 month mark and could not be cashed. The parents have requested another check. Here is the information for the one that is no longer valid:

All Night Graduation Report: Julie West
- She will follow up with donation requests in January. She also needs to make a time
frame of how the evening and entertainment will go. She noted that we had too much food donated last year.

11. Open Floor / Questions for Admin
- Julie West wondered how we paid off Country Club Lanes last year.
It was through ticket sales for Grad Night.
